Pride
Matt Cline stayed with us in the Summer of 2006 while playing for the Denton Outlaws. In June 2007, he was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers, and played the summer of 2007 in Rookie League. This winter, he reported for his first real Spring Training with the Brewers system, which has all been very exciting for us.
Until this week, when we found out that Monday and Tuesday he played in games with the big leaguers. Yep, second season with the Brewers organization, first full spring training, and he's already appearing in games with the big club, albeit as a late-inning replacement. Still, he's gone 2 for 4 with a walk in those two games, and played one game at second and the other at short.
Exciting? Hardly. There aren't words to describe just how cool this is for us. We're very, very proud parents this week!

Snow01
On Saturday, March 1, we sat around thinking "Man, we haven't had a snow day yet this year! That's really unusual." Well, Monday we had a bit of a snow move through, and ended up with about an inch on the ground, which didn't even make it overnight. Then today, Thursday, I found out that we're under a snow advisory from 4pm to Friday morning (and I brought a jacket to work instead of my coat). Then at noon, the snow started. And by 3pm, we had 4+ inches at the house. And here are the pics to show it.
I expect at least another post with more pics, because it's still coming down hard...

Did I mention that this is TEXAS? Yeah, thought I should...
