Gong With The Wind

You'd never believe me if I told you that the title of this, the final track on the album, is a description of the sounds contained therein, so I'm not even going to try. You'll just have to hear it for yourself.

This is the second version of this track. The first was recoded with the help of Billy Barron and his Mirage. It captured the essence of what I wanted this track to be, but it wasn't to the production level I was looking for. The rerecording contains a long segment of audio recorded straight to two-track DAT out in the field, along with some other touches.

Not too long ago I gave a copy of the tape to John Bradley. He made my day by telling me that when he heard this track in his car, he had to pull off to the side of the road because he was laughing so hard. Thanks John!
